Manta Swim School tailors lessons to the individual, taking each swimmer on their own aquatic journey. We approach teaching through gradual skill-building, play-based activities, and self-paced learning strategies, which all help towards safer swimming and water confidence.
Get ready to sing with a splash! Manta Swim School’s Babies and Toddlers Swim and Sing lessons start from 4mths new, with carers in the water. The lessons are super fun whilst building confidence, basic mobility, motor skills and most of all – learning to love the water.
All lessons are 20 or 30mins and require pool temperatures to be between 29-33°C. Therefore, these lessons are usually more popular in the warmer months from October to April.
Wherever possible, lessons should take place earlier in the day, when pool water quality is at its best, having had overnight filtration.
When your little ones are ready for transition to the Kids Learn to Swim program, independent swimming is slowly introduced to ensure they are happy to swim without you in the water.
This program is all about developing the four strokes and finessing technique in the water whilst having fun.
Kids Learn to Swim starts with Level 5 (Platypus) from around 4yrs old and is an independent swimming program (parent/carer no longer in the water).
All classes, across both programs, include teaching water safety skills that will help children understand key survival techniques in, around and out of the water.
The Kids Learn to Swim program follows the National standards of teaching swimming – freestyle, followed by backstroke, breaststroke and then we introduce butterfly.
